nice photograph, is it possible to keep this in the jellyfish tank?? Do they sting?

Here's some photos I took of two lions mane(?) jellyfish in Hong Kong harbour yesterday, they were at least 12" wide! :wub:

These jellyfish have quite a strong sting and, although they can be kept in an aquarium, they grow pretty huge so are best left for the public aquariums unfortunately. :no:

what is their lifespan and growth rate like, can you adjust their growth rate with feeding patterns like you can moon jellies . . . and is their anywhere int he UK that stocks these ?

Their lifespan in the wild is around 9-12 months, possibly longer in captivity. I don't know of anywhere that stock them in the UK current but we hope to get them on the market there via http://www.exoticaquaculture.com early next year.
