Help needed in vacuuming up extra food on tank bottom

Postby anupghosh » 16 May 2016, 02:21

I have a Cubic 20 jellyfish aquarium. I read everywhere that after feeding I should vacuum up the residual food on the bottom that isn't eaten by the jellies.

I would love to, but have no idea how. I've tried unsuccessfully using a hose with a siphon. The hose naturally coils so it is very difficult to point it in any single direction, not to mention it is difficult to work both the hose end and create the suction needed.

Any suggestions for an easy way to vacuum up residual food on the bottom of the Cubic while hopefully not vacuuming up the jellies?

thanks!
