Refugium on Orbit 20?

Postby Bryan » 30 Apr 2015, 19:05

Any idea to add a refugium on my Orbit 20? Or an external power filter? I hate re-inventing the wheel if it's already been done. Suggestions and personal experience welcome!

Hi Bryan

If you were to add a small refugium it would have to be inside a sealed vessel like a reactor or filter unless the water level is exactly the same heights as the water inside the tank because there is no way to add an overflow pipe. What were you planning on using as your refugium?

You could just swap out the filter media for live rock in the outer ring of the tank and use that area as a refugium.
