Hi from Missouri, US

Hi all,

I have been lurking here for a while just browsing. I'm not sure I'm fit to keep jellies, but am trying as hard as I can to keep the 2 I have alive. I purchased a small 2 gallon aquarium from a known jellyfish vendor here in the US, and have had a lot of trouble in keeping water quality in good shape. Nitrates are my enemy, with spikes up to 80+ppm. I've since been doing water changes 3 time per week to keep them between 10 and 20ppm.

I'll ask more questions in the appropriate forum sections.

I really enjoy them as beautiful creatures, but haven't been fully convinced that it's really even possible to keep them healthy for much longer than 2 or 3 months. Perhaps the advice I get here will be of some benefit and allow me to actually keep them going, and really be comfortable in keeping them.

Hi KC and welcome to our forum.

We will answer any questions you have as best we can and hopefully guide you towards keeping your jellies for as long as possible in your tank.
